SERVICES & FACILITIES

Matawhio Sporthorses is located in the heart of horse country, Karaka. We are conveniently located 35 minutes drive from downtown Auckland and 30 minutes from Auckland Airport. Matawhio Sporthorses breeds and William Willis produces jumpers for the future. We also have standing at stud Chacco Silver who is one of a rare bunch of stallion sons of the famous Chacco Blue, world ranked No 1 breeding jumping stallion.

Horses

Competition

William showjumps a team of up to 6 competition horses all bred by us, broken in and produced by him. He is one of very few Kiwis who not only breeds but also breaks in, trains and competes his own horses.

Hay contracting

Top quality meadow hay, lucerne hay and mini wraps, compressed hay available. Please contact William 021 154 2311 for more information.

We are always looking to buy standing hay and are always available to cut/bale/wrap your own grass.

Testimonials

Last winter our mare had an altercation with a fence the result of which left her with a chunk of her near fore hoof split open & needing to grow out. Our vet advised she needed to go on a walker as she couldn't be ridden & gave us a rehab program for her. We delivered her and her rehab program to Matawhio. 4 wks later we collected our mare.
